Blog #4------Talking about Social Action Project

This week in the class, we discussed the social project which I’m not sure what I will go to do. I heard some interesting ideas such as going to animal shelter, and volunteering food bank or doing something on the campus. For one thing I am curious about animal shelter, why the pets were abandoned? Because of as a foreigner, I read many articles about pet culture in American family. The articles all talk about people love the pets because they are just like their members of the household. In my hometown, I used to volunteer at orphanage. I don’t know, are there any orphanages in our area? Anyway, I like to try something new, and I would really like to do something significant that can help me to know more about our society.

  3. It is very sad that there are so many reasons that pets are abandoned in shelters. I’ve heard stories of how people didn’t expect a small puppy to grow so large or pet isn’t well behaved. Sometimes a person dies and no family members claim the pet. And sometimes, animal control will remove animals from abusive or neglectful homes.
